HR High School Senior Honored

🏆 Highlands Ranch High School senior Eli Testa received the 2024 Outstanding Youth of Lone Tree Award for his exceptional commitment to community involvement, including creating a youth theater company during the pandemic that raised $37,000 for The Denver Actors Fund. Testa's initiative and character were praised by Lone Tree Mayor Jackie Millet and others at an award presentation.

Lucent Blvd May Be Renamed

🚦Our community continues to honor Kendrick Castillo's heroic act on May 7, 2019, when he sacrificed his life to save others. To commemorate his bravery, the Kendrick Castillo Memorial is being established in Civic Green Park within Highlands Ranch. The fund is dedicated to exploring ways to honor Kendrick Castillo in his hometown. As part of this effort, Lucent Boulevard is proposed to be renamed to Kendrick Castillo Way, pending the completion of a necessary public process. More information can be found on the Douglas County website.
